| Packages: The Turtle Spring and Fall maintenance plus 2 follow-up visits The Frog Spring and Fall maintenance plus 1 monthly visit The Dragonfly Spring and Fall maintenance plus 2 monthly visits The Koi Weekly visits (April-December) The Turtle Spring and Fall maintenance plus 2 follow-up visits. Starting late March or early April. Ending late November or early December. Spring maintenance will include (subject to pond’s system installed): Transfer of fish to aerated pools filled with pond water and covered to prevent fish from jumping out also to reduce stress to fish. Drain 30% of pond water, power wash stone, remove debris, sludge and leaves, remove and clean filters (new filters are available if needed), inspect pump and restore to pond, reinstall ultraviolet system if installed, inspect plants and fertilize (additional plants are available for purchase), refill pond, treat for chlorine and heavy metals, add beneficial bacteria and other treatments if necessary (treatments are charged per ounce), inspect fish and treat if necessary, test water quality, restore fish to pond test system and provide a written report upon completion. Follow-up visits will include: water quality test, inspect fish and treat if necessary, inspect plants-trim, fertilize and add new if desired, remove debris and string algae if necessary, remove and clean filters, clean ultraviolet system if installed, add beneficial bacteria and other treatments if necessary, treat for algae if necessary and provide written report upon completion. Fall maintenance will commence around late October or early November and will include: removal of accumulated debris and algae if necessary, prepare hardy plants for winter by pruning, lowering tender plants to lower area in pond, removing tropical plants (storage for these plants will be available for an additional fee), inspect fish (wheat germ fish food will be available for purchase at this time and is recommended for fish health during cooler months), add pond salt (reduces parasites that may be harmful to fish during winter months), clean filters and ultraviolet system if installed, install leaf netting over pond (available at an additional fee, highly recommended to prevent accumulated leaves form decaying and reducing oxygen levels in pond over winter months), written report upon completion. Follow-up visit late October early November will include: Removal of leaf netting, removal of any accumulated debris, removal, cleaning and preparation of pump and filters if customer is shutting down for winter, removal, cleaning and preparation of ultraviolet system if installed, installation of heater which will be available for purchase if customer does not have one and is highly recommended for keeping a hole open in ice for gas exchange. The Frog Same maintenance schedule as above also to include 1 visit per month. Monthly visits will entail (subject to pond’s system installed): cleaning filters, inspecting pump and ultraviolet system if installed, debris removal, plant inspection to include: fertilizing, insect removal and treatments and pruning if necessary, add additional plants if desired, fish inspection and treat if necessary, add beneficial bacteria, treat for algae bloom if necessary, water quality tests and written report upon completion. The Dragonfly The ultimate plan! The same plan as above, includes 2 visits per month. Monthly visits will entail (subject to pond’s system installed): cleaning filters, inspecting pump and ultraviolet system if installed, debris removal, plant inspection to include: fertilizing, insect removal and treatments and pruning if necessary, add additional plants if desired, fish inspection and treat if necessary, add beneficial bacteria, treat for algae bloom if necessary, water quality tests and written report upon completion. The Koi A weekly visit only, does not include spring opening and fall closing. Plan commences in April and ends in December. Weekly visits will entail (subject to pond’s system installed): cleaning filters, inspecting pump and ultraviolet system if installed, debris removal, plant inspection to include: fertilizing, insect removal and treatments and pruning if necessary, add additional plants if desired, fish inspection and treat if necessary, add beneficial bacteria, treat for algae bloom if necessary, water quality tests and written report upon completion. All plans a subject to changes based upon weather, pond conditions and system installed. Each pond is unique; therefore prices are determined at consultation by size of pond, accessibility, distance from Nettle Creek Aquatics and type of system installed. Each plan is tailored to the customer’s pond needs. Nettle Creek Aquatics will confirm with the pond owner in advance what costs can be expected and anticipate labor charges. Plants and plantings, treatment products, fish food, filter replacements and other items are available for purchase for an additional fee.
